blarney not baloney.

I know I know I said I wasn’t going to do it. but i caved and kissed the blarney stone. it was amazing and probably a bad idea hygienically speaking but whatever. I called my grandma from the castle and she told me that it was one of her life’s dreams that she would get to and she knows she wont, so i had to. I actually climbed all the way to the top of the tower to see it and walked by it than left. When I got to the bottom I had this overwhelming feeling of an opportunity missed. So I climbed all the way back up to the top bent over backwards and nuzzled that stone.

Most of the people that were there were elderly people and were so excited. It was cute watching them climb up and down the tower.

I ate so many potatoes today and yesterday my tummy feels like a starch bucket.

Its been raining every day all day for the last week. Even when its not raining there is this weird mist in the air just to let you know that you are still going to get wet whether you like it or not.

I like my americorp supervisor, her name is Lidia, we talked about this conference I am going to at MIT in june! Im super excited for that! I also talked to my fellow VISTA who is in Cyprus right now working. He has to use a donkey to get around and has lost 20lbs cause he cant eat the food. I feel like a classy lady with my assignment, and kinda spoiled.

My training is in July for 3 weeks in the states - i think Philly, and that’s cool because I get to train with people who are also doing peacecorp! Im excited to meet them and talk to them about what they will be doing.
